Ford Transit and Ford Transit Connect are the bestselling vans for decades and year 2016 brings a load of upgrades
When it comes to practicality and economy, nothing can beat the Ford Transit range, be it the full-size Transit or the mid-size Transit Connect. Their cargo bay is already big but after these tweaks for 2016, they get gigantic.
What are these changes?
For both vans, Ford has introduced a great deal of tiny changes, but the most wonderful and noticeable is the new Sync 3 infotainment system.
Commercial and retail buyers are going to enjoy the option of dual sliding side doors on Transit vans, in both versions. And then there is the USB port which has been relocated right above the cup holders on the dashboard.
What else is offered?
Across the Transit line-up, map lights are now standard. Caribou (brown), Race Red, Magnetic and Shadow Black are the new colours added by Ford to the line. There is one other option that Transit buyers may opt for, speed-limiter; a setting which will set the speed to 70 mph. The previous limiter was available in 65 to 75 mph limit. it has best in town.
