The Transit has been a darling light commercial vehicle in the UK since five decades and in fact, it is still a popular van with more than 350 trims. The Ford Transit sales figures are certainly increased by 19 percent compared to the last year’s data.
With over a half century of satisfied customers, now Transit is transforming into a most modern car like vans. New Engine Updates and Tweaks
The new and improved van line-up offers a number of new designs and tweaks but the focus of the automaker is purely on the Custom and the Transit.
The new features include improved SYNC technologies, improved driving dynamics, better driving assist gadgets, automatic gearbox and the all-new 2.0-litre EcoBlue diesel engines.
Ford’s new 2.0-litre EcoBlue diesel
Ford EcoBlue engines built in the Dagenham and developed in the UK and Germany, is more advanced than the EcoBoost by adopting a new architecture. The new 2.0-litre engine is a replacement of current 2.2-litre diesel engine.
New engine offers 20 percent increased performance than the previous engines and it has 13 percent low-end torque that also helps boost fuel efficiency.
What power output 2.0-litre engine offers?
The all-new 2.0-litre engine offers 104bhp, 128bhp and 168bhp respectively from three variants and it similarly increase the torque delivery by 50Nm, 30Nm, and 20Nm when compared to outgoing engines on the Transit line-up. Which model will be made available, it is yet to be announced but as it is a 2.0-litre diesel engine, everything from Focus to Edge SUV.
