Ford Transit is going to be the brand’s biggest light commercial vehicle in terms of sixth generation model

 

Transit van is Ford’s most reliable vehicle that has maximum sales volume in the UK and other countries. The Transit was first introduced in 1957 in Germany and then the first generation under the name of Transit was introduced in 1965. Now Ford has introduced its sixth generation of Transit with most advanced and reliable Ford engine, a 122bhp 2.2-litre Duratorq TDCi diesel from Dagenham. Ford has expanded its van line-up to six models that have GVMs of up to 3.5 tonnes.

 

All new Ford Transit engine line-up features three power variants from a 2.2 Litre unit, entry level has 98bhp, general and all purpose versions has 122bhp while top powered version has 152bhp. Body style variations are very cosmic along with the normal and traditional body style. There are double cab Transit, kombi, a chassis cab and a minibus available to pamper everyone’s need.

 

Transit van has three wheelbases from normal to large and extended. L2 represents Medium, L3 represents long while L4 stands for extended version. You can select from different heights as well, where H2 and H3 stands for medium and high roofs.

Cargo bay is also upgraded to consume maximum space by revising the side angles and raising the roof, however entire Transit line up is extended by 300mm as standard for extended flexibility to fit in the standard pipe lengths, boards and carpet rolls.

 

Several new technologies have been introduced in Transit van; these technologies include auto start/stop and eco modes to improve the fuel economy. Only the auto start/stop technology saves up to 10% fuel alone while you are in the urban driving cycle. Eco mode accesses your driving behaviour and advises you with fuel saving tips.
