Ford Transit Converts to Bi-Fuel

Converted Ford Transits

The new bi-fuel conversion system is in the development phase and Ford is hopeful to get its EPA certification in 2015

UK’s commercial van segment is highly dominated by Ford Transit; this is why Ford pays more attention towards its economy and reliability. Rumours are that a company is running some tests to develop a conversion system on 3.7-litre Transit engine. This conversion system will be from gas to propane autogas and the company is hoping to get EPA certification in early 2015.

Unlike other conversion systems, this new conversion system doesn’t require any sort of drilling, cutting or splicing. Thanks to the OEM quality components and brilliant work of engineering the install time is reduced to half.

The operational benefits and safety will not be compromised if you go for the installation of 21 gallons of useable propane autogas. The company is going to install this very first “plug & play” system to Ford Transit. To make things even sweeter, a warranty of 100,000 miles or five years is standard.

Ford Transit van is available in single and double rear wheel models with three different heights and lengths. If you need it for passengers you have configurations which cover 8, 10, 12 and 15 passengers. The payload options and cargo volume is also flexible so if you need to haul around, do it with liberty. The all new Transit van with 3.7-litre Ti-VCT V6 is more efficient and economical.
