What is it?
If you are on the move most of the time and want to take the comfort of your own home with you all the time then there is no other option better than the Winnebago Fuse, a Class C motorhome that has been built on the cutaway chassis of the all new Ford Transit. Thanks to its frugal diesel engine, you don’t have to worry about economy and power.
What is the Class C motorhome?
A majority of the people out there don’t know about the Class C motorhome, and by chance, if you are among those few, there is no need to worry as we are going to explain that.
Also known as ‘Alcove’, the Class C motorhomes include the frame, suspension, engine and cab of a specific vehicle and a living space that is accessible behind driver’s compartment. Since the vehicle has a caravan style body mounted onto the chassis of a van or a truck, it is also known as the vanilla approach.
What kind of engine does it come with?
The Ford Transit Winnebago Fuse will be offered in two configurations, powered by five-cylinder Ford Transit 3.2-litre diesel engine, when it goes on sale in January.
The first one will be offered with a rear bedroom slide-out featuring a queen-size bed, while the other one will come with front slide-out, rear bath and two twin beds.
What Ford has to say about it?
Yaro Hetman, Ford brand manager for Transit, Transit Connect and E-Series calls Transit a trouble-free way of enjoying leisure activities and further explains it as: “Many of these customers are interested in outdoor adventures like kayaking, mountain biking, snowboarding and such – more national park than RV park.
Sales of smaller Class C motor homes have been on the rise for the last few years as younger, more active buyers enter the market.
